How to remove the Turret Interference Limit in Rust

On October 5, 2023, Facepunch rolled out an update to limit the amount of Auto Turrets within a specific radius. By default, no more than 12 powered turrets will function within a 40 meter radius of eachother.

A server setting was included in order to modify or remove the limit, and server owners can make this change in the Server Console while the server is running.

How to disable the Turret Interference Setting

1) Open your server console. For HostEZ customers, you can do this by clicking on your server and then pressing "Console"

2) If your server is currently started, type the following commands

interferenceradius 0
global.writecfg

This change will take place until the next server restart, and usually global.writecfg will allow for the setting to persist across restarts. However, in order to ensure that the setting is changed across the next server restart, it may be necessary to also edit the following file -

server/rust/cfg/serverauto.cfg

Inside the file, either add the line or change the existing line for interferenceradius to be "0"

How to increase the radius of the Turret Interference Setting

If you wish to modify the Turret interference setting, then follow the same steps as above, but replace the "0" setting with a different value.
